Update: Equality Fund Application Period Closed.

Camden Giving set-up a community-first fund called the Equality Fund towards the end of 2020, to ensure that Camden communities are still able to access vital services that may not be replaced if not urgently funded. As with previous years, a panel of Camden residents will award 2-year grants of £30,000. The Equality Fund is our only unrestricted fund, set up to provide unrestricted funding to small charities and social enterprises that actively bring together people from different backgrounds to create communities that can thrive in Camden. 

Eligibility

As a participatory grant-maker, decisions for this fund will be made by a panel of Camden residents. This means that people who are surviving inequality are paid, trained, and supported by Camden Giving to give grants. The Equality Fund panel have worked together to design a funding criteria that responds to inequality in Camden. The anticipated timeline for this grant is as follows:

• Fund opens for applications: Friday 1st March

• Fund closes for applications: Friday 5th April

• Panel of Camden residents shortlist applications: Wednesday 17th April

• Panel of Camden residents make final decisions: Wednesday 24th April

• Outcome of applications are communicated with applicants: Friday 26th April
